Position Summary:The University of Alaska Statewide Human Resources Office (SWHR) clerical pool is the SWHR recruitment pool for clerical support tasks required as needed on a temporary basis.
The University of Alaska Statewide Human Resources Office (SWHR) is looking for clerical assistance on a temporary basis. Basic office duties will include answering phones and taking messages, handling all incoming and outgoing office mail, responding to general inquiries for information, managing the SWHR general email account, photocopying materials as needed for department staff, and various other tasks and projects as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of basic computer operations. Knowledge of basic phone skills and etiquette. Skilled
in providing excellent customer service. Ability to operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to follow directions
given by supervisors or co-workers. Ability to file and track information.
Required Experience: High School graduation and six months office/administrative experience, or an equivalent
combination of training and experience.
Typical Education or Training: High School graduation or the equivalent.
