Position Summary:Looking for an exciting, part-time job in a professional environment? UA Institutional Research, Planning & Analysis is hiring a half-time position to coordinate and manage the department's website publication, provide report layout and design support, and to provide administrative support to the associate vice president.

This position requires an individual with a broad range of high level publications, web administration, computer and office support skills that encompass a background in publications, web design, office management, and customer service. This individual must have strong interpersonal skills, organization skills, multi-tasking ability and excellent written and oral communication skills. This position must interact with a wide variety of departments and agencies and represent the university in a positive and professional manner.


Proficient in a web content management application such as Roxen and a professional publication management application such as InDesign. Familiarity with office software including Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet, and scheduling. Knowledge of relational databases, such as the Banner system. Knowledge of computer programs of intermediate difficulty. Basic fiscal skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize projects. Ability to communicate effectively. Leadership, problem solving, organization, attention to details, multi-tasking and decisiveness are all required abilities. Knowledge of University Travel Regulations & Policies and University Purchasing Regulations & Policies.

Required Experience:

1-3 years progressively responsible experience in web design, editing, publications management, office management in a high-level, high-volume administrative setting required. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Software. Valid AK Driver's license.

Typical Education or Training:

Bachelor degree preferred. Knowledge of webdesign tools, MS PowerPoint, HTML preferred as well as University Travel Regulations & Policies, University Purchasing Regulations & Policies. Supervisory experience preferred.
