Position Summary:Seeking students for Grounds and Operations jobs within Facilities Services.


UAF Facilities Services Student Assistants work under general direction. Duties will vary depending on the department/shop which is hiring. Supervisors from the Division of Operations (Grounds, Greenhouse, Labor, Warehouse, and Customer Service Center, Vehicle and Transportation Services) and Supervisor of Custodial Inspections, hire students on an as needed basis. Typical duties will require: basic computer skills, ability to work with others, ability to follow directions, regular attendance and timeliness, and to meet general expectations expressed by supervisor.

Student Assistant tasks within the Division of Operations often requires performing general physical activities; handling and moving objects, manual dexterity, physical coordination, strength, stamina, and being outdoors exposed to all types of weather conditions.

Within the Custodial Inspection area, will assist with building inspections and/or audits; and trash removal within robotic vacuum areas.
